Why Open-Source?

Religions throughout history have often been shaped by a few voices claiming exclusive access to truth. Aeonism takes the opposite stance: if we are to create a framework of meaning, let us do it together, openly, and without hierarchy.

Aeonism acknowledges that religions are, at their core, human creations. Instead of pretending otherwise, it embraces that fact and turns it into a strength. By making the doctrine open-source, anyone can contribute, refine, and evolve its teachings. What emerges is not the decree of a single authority, but a living body of wisdom built from collective experience.

Recurrence and Identity

Recurrence in Aeonism is not traditional rebirth. We are patterns of matter, energy, and memory that dissolve and reform endlessly in an infinite universe. Sometimes much of what we are may return; other times we continue through our children, our communities, or in entirely new forms. Identity is not absolute but a continuity of pattern. What matters most is not clinging to the self, but recognizing that what we shape today — kindness, cruelty, repair, neglect — will echo forward.
